Chocolate Milk

My son asked me for chocolate milk recently. I have a real problem with flavoured milk, they are usually filled with colours and additives and way too much sugar. So I thought I would create my own. 




The coconut milk I used is quite thick and strong so I used 150ml coconut milk and 50ml of water to give it that milkshake (rather than thickshake) texture. This was a great after school snack because it filled up little bellies with goodness and energy to get through after school activities. In fact this was so delicious I drank the first one myself and had to make another for my son.


200ml milk of choice (almond, coconut, rice, cow, raw)

2 tablespoons raw cacao

2 medjool dates (soaked for 10 minutes in 50ml water) 


Mix the ingredients (including the water that the dates were soaking in) in a blender and whiz until smooth.
